The Pelvic Floor Connection

The Power Of Birth Prep

Episode Summary

In todays episode I'm joined by ex- midwife, Zoe Findlay, who is so passionate about the benefits of antenatal education, she gave up her job within the NHS to better educate expectant mums. Today we explore: - Why antenatal education is so important - Why the "women have been doing this for thousands of years" might not cut it anymore - The best tips for expectant first (and beyond) time mums ...and their partners! And if you noticed, I'm a day late releasing this episode.... I'm so sorry, I was enjoying some away time with the family... in an unexpected wifi black spot!

Episode Notes

Antenatal education is something that most women experience to varying degrees during pregnancy. It's also something that varies greatly in terms of depth, quality and opinion.

In this episode, I'm delighted to be joined by ex-midwife Zoe Findlay, who is so passionate about antenatal education, that she left her career in the NHS to start up her own business, educating expectant mums and their partners.

We explore what has happened to this education over and following covid, and more importantly, the impact on birth preparation and ultimately the birthing experience.
